The strongest QA references are the people your testing directly protected: the engineering manager whose releases you gated, the developer whose bugs you caught pre-production, the product manager whose launch you saved. A developer saying "their bug reports were the best I have worked from" outweighs another QA colleague's praise. Brief each reference on the specific claims they can support (the framework you built, the incident you prevented) so their story matches your resume's numbers.
